The Annual California Dropout Prevention Conference - Ready To Learn: Helping Students Survive and Thrive

Introduction

This year we are excited to be featuring K–12 schools that have achieved superior success supporting students at risk, bridging the achievement gap, and raising test scores in all subgroups. Principals and outreach consultants from these schools will present the steps they took to success and the resources they acquired.

You will also have a choice of sessions that provide valuable strategies to help engage reluctant learners, ensure safer classrooms and schools, increase parent and community involvement, and improve classroom participation and school attendance. Urban schools will find sessions that have helped some of the most challenged schools in California, including effective programs and classroom instructional strategies to engage difficult students, transform school climate, and help poor and minority children succeed.
