Hotel Reservations

The conference will be held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. The hotel is currently sold out and our block is full! Great news for the conference! In order to make it easier for you to get a room, we have secured a block of rooms at the Hilton Universal City. It is 7 minutes away by car or a short metro ride.

In order to receive the special conference rate, you must make your reservation by September 18, 2006. The room rate will increase substantially after that date. The conference rate is $159.00 single/double, plus tax. Ask for the EduAlliance Group code rate. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card.

This year we are in Hollywood! Not only is it the home of movie-making, it is full of fun, entertainment, and culture. Arrive early and bring the family to visit Universal Studios and the Walk of Fame. Universal Studios is located three miles from the hotel and is open from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Travel

From LAX the hotel is about a 45-minute drive, depending on traffic. There is a shuttle available outside the baggage area that costs $15 per person, one-way. A taxi will cost $40 to $60.

From the Bob Hope Airport (Burbank) the hotel is about a 25-minute drive, depending on traffic. There is a shuttle available outside the baggage area that costs $15 per person, one-way. A taxi costs about $25 to $30.

Travel Discounts

United Airlines is the official airline of this year’s conference. You or your travel agent can call United, 800-521-4041, to book your reservation. You will receive a 5% discount off the lowest applicable fare or a 10% discount off full unrestricted coach fares, purchased seven days in advance. An additional 5% discount will apply when tickets are purchased at least 30 days in advance of your travel date. When making reservations, refer to Meeting ID number 539TG to receive the discount. Agents are on duty seven days a week from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. EST.
